Highway 46 will be closed for construction through June between Deer River and Gosh Dam Place for those coming from the east. The detour isn’t long. From Deer River, instead of heading up Hwy 46, you will continue west on Hwy 2 to Ball Club. Turn right on County Road 39 and go all the way to the T (Hwy 46, just south of Gosh Dam Place). Turn left on Hwy 46 and drive just past mile marker 19. Turn left on Eagle Nest Road, and we are 2 miles down on the left. This detour will be well marked

We had an awesome 2018 fishing opener weekend at Eagle Nest Lodge! After the threat of late ice keeping fishermen off the lake (it went out last week), we scrambled to get docks in and cabins ready and made it!! The fishing was excellent and the weather was spectacular. Everyone caught lots of fish…many in the slot, but they had a blast playing with them. Most caught enough keeper walleyes and pike and perch to have a big fish fry. The beautiful forecast continues this week, which will warm the lake up and turn the fish on even more. This
