Susie and I went skating on the beautiful, clear ice on Tuesday. There is no snow on top, so we had a great skate over to the summer homes and back, even though it was really windy. We have about 4″ of good ice in front of the resort. McAvity Bay has around 7″. The warm weather this week didn’t make any ice, but we didn’t lose it, either! We have a cold forecast for next week, and should make ice then. We saw this sunfish encased in the ice just below the surface when we were out skating. We had an otter hanging around the beach just before the lake froze over and there were otter tracks leading to this sunfish, but he couldn’t get it out of the ice! Bryan
